We want to invite our fellow readers to a new book discussion group at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – Downtown, the Three Rivers Readers. We will be meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at noon to explore the role Pittsburgh plays in our collective literary culture by reading a variety of genres and forms, all of which connect to Pittsburgh in some way. Here is a list of what we’ll be reading in the upcoming months:
April 10, 2024: Unprotected, by Billy Porter.
May 8, 2024: Out of This Furnace, by Thomas Bell.
June 12, 2024: The Pioneers: The Heroic Story of the Settlers Who Brought the American Ideal West, by David McCullough.
July 10, 2024: All the Names They Used for God, by Anjali Sachdeva.
August 14, 2024: Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, by Jesse Andrews.
Copies of these titles will be available to pick up at CLP – Downtown the month before the book discussion.
