Cash Delgado Is Living the Dream

PINK PONY CLUB — This story about found family, self-discovery, and finding love where you don’t expect it features Cash Delgado, a single mom who works at Joyce’s bar, that has a crew of regulars that come in every Thursday when she Emcees the Karaoke night. It has the appeal of a romance (including an HEA) while also highlighting the importance of community and love that isn’t romantic.

Cleat Cute

RED WINE SUPERNOVA — This book is a steamy, funny rivals-to-lovers romance. Grace is the star of the US Women’s soccer team and is benched after an injury. At first she’s annoyed by the rookie, Phoebe, who’s filling in for her, but soon realizes that her fixation on Phoebe might be because she’s actually intrigued by her. Her desire to want to get to know Phoebe is reminiscent of Chappell Roan’s verses in RWS.

The Fiancée Farce

HOT TO GO — “It’s all in my head but I want nonfiction,” sings Chappell Roan. That’s exactly what happens in this steamy sapphic novel, which follows a quiet bookseller who lies to her family and says the woman on a book cover is her girlfriend, assuming they will never cross paths. But when she meets the cover model who needs to marry to inherit the family business, they enter an engagement of convenience.

Honey Girl

KALEIDOSCOPE — “Honey Girl” is a sweet and sad, but ultimately uplifting, romance that shows even if your best laid plans that fall to pieces, life can find another way to bring about your Happy Ever After. Grace, whose life isn’t going according to plan, drunkenly marries a stranger in Vegas. Will her relationship with her accidental spouse blossom into something more?

An Island Princess Starts a Scandal

GUILTY PLEASURE — This is an immersive historical romance that is great for people who need a bit of escapism. Cora and Manuela are both queer women, but its 1899 so being openly queer is not an option. Still, there’s a large cast of queer folks, so it gives readers a sense that even if being queer in this period was a “guilty pleasure,” it probably shouldn’t have been so “Guilty.”

Kiss Her Once for Me

GOOD LUCK BABE — This is a second chance romance for Ellie who begins an engagement of convenience with a man, only to find out he’s the brother of a woman she had a magical date with a year ago. Will Ellie take another chance on love, or will she choose to marry Andrew for convenience and “wake up next to him in the middle of the night with her head in her hands – nothing more than his wife.”

One Last Stop

NAKED IN MANHATTAN — “One Last Stop” follows August, a New York transplant who has very realistic expectations about what living in the city is going to be like for her, that is until she meets Jane on her subway commute. Jane smashes all of August’s expectations about things like cinematic love stories not existing, but there’s something mysterious and magical about August’s subway crush.

The Perks of Loving a Wallflower

FEMININOMENON — Phillipa York has never felt anything for any potential male suitors, including a duke, and she was not too upset when that match did not work out. She does have feelings for an inspector in disguise, and she is not deterred when she discovers Tommy is actually Thomasina. Similarly to “Femininomenon,” Phillipa finds herself disenchanted with the “same old story time (and) again,” and decides to open herself up to finding love in new places.

Sorry, Bro

SUPER GRAPHIC ULTRA MODERN GIRL — This book is as emotional as it is fun. After a string of boyfriends who haven’t shared her idea of love – one could call them a hyper mega bummer – our main character Nar finally agrees to let her mom set her up with “a nice Armenian man,” by attending the Explore Armenia festival, but instead Nar ends up falling for Erebuni, the woman who is co-leading the festival. Whoops!
