We all look forward to summer for many different reasons, but for the novice motor head the season promises both warmer weather to work on our cars and a classic auto show almost any given night of the week. I look back on fond memories of going to auto shows with my grandfather, a diesel mechanic who also enjoyed working on his own cars in the sunnier months. For both professional and personal tools, my grandfather subscribed to a few different publications from the Chilton Company, an organization known for its automotive reference manuals.
Today, the car manuals that the company produced can now be accessed online through a convenient database, Chilton Library, with your CLP or ACLA card. Not only do users have access to repair manuals but the database also provides recall notices, maintenance recommendations, and labor estimates for most current models. Those preparing for ASE certification also have access to test prep quizzes through the database. Whether you enjoy maintaining classic cars as a hobby or are looking to ramp up your professional mechanic skills, Chilton Library has the tools to keep you busy all summer long!
