Global Issues in Context gathers together journal articles, news reports, and other sources of credible information on topics of worldwide interest. Explore all sides of society’s most important issues with this full-text database. Useful for both student and public interest-based research.

Indigenous Peoples: North America

This resource is available to CLP cardholders only.

A comprehensive collection on the experience of the indigenous peoples of North America. The collection covers the history of American Indian tribes and supporting organizations. Indigenous Peoples: North America is sourced from both American and Canadian institutions, as well as direct-from-source from newspapers from various tribes and Indian-related organizations. The collection also features indigenous-language materials, including dictionaries, bibles, and primers.

 



Internet Bird Collection

The Internet Bird Collection is a non-profit endeavour with the ultimate goal of disseminating knowledge about the world’s avifauna. It is an on-line audiovisual library of the world’s birds (based on Handbook of the Birds of the World) that is available to the general public free of charge, though registration is required.


LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com)

This resource is available to CLP cardholders only.

Learn the latest tools and techniques with access to over 16,000 online courses in 7 different languages. LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com) provides award-winning education with video training tutorials. Experienced instructors will keep you current on the latest technologies.

LinkedIn Learning for Library can be accessed with your CLP library card and PIN. No LinkedIn profile is required for access.

If you had a Lynda.com account, your data will migrate into your new LinkedIn Learning account. This includes prior course completions, in-progress courses, and playlists (which are called “Collections” in LinkedIn Learning). The data will not be pre-populated. When you first login to LinkedIn Learning, it may take up to an hour for your prior data to transfer into your new account.
