Food Insecurity

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, unemployment has risen and food insecurity has soared. Individuals are making daily decisions about whether to have something to eat, purchase medicine, or pay rent or the electric bill. If you know anyone that can use some help or if you would like to volunteer to help, check out these resources.

Check Yourself: News Literacy for Teens (and Adults)

As the school year approaches, many students will be doing virtual/remote learning. Without direct access to their school libraries, even more research will be done online. Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh offers a wealth of digital resources and databases that can aid students when doing research, as well as information about examining sources with a critical eye.
