*Singing* “Think of me babe whenever…”
All right, I’ll stop. I know I am neither Captain, nor Tennille (but if you are super young and don’t know what song I am referencing, check it out).
During September, libraries in Allegheny County are all about love. Not only is it Library Card Signup Month, but it is also Love Your Library month.
What is that, you ask? I know, I know — you love your library every month! But September is a special time where we can celebrate the Library by giving back with financial support to the organization that gives us all so much.
Donations given between September 1-30, 2017, will be eligible for a match from the Jack Buncher Foundation. The generous match of $150,000 will be split among all libraries in the Allegheny County Library Association. Gifts up to $500 will be matched!
And like Captain and Tennille sang: “I will, be there to share forever.” And with your help and support, so will Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. Please consider increasing your impact on the Library you love, by making a gift during September. For so many, the Library is a home away from home, and your support ensures its doors will be open today, tomorrow and for years to come.
Over the next several weeks, Eleventh Stack writers will tell you about some great reasons to love the library, but we want to hear from you. We want to know what YOU love about the library! Let us know in the comments!
