SLB Radio Presents Hill District Oral History Project – Week 1

August 13 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

A young adult is interviewed in an office.
This is a 4-day intensive taking place at 1:00pm-4:00pm every day from August 13-16. Youth must attend for the full time all 4 days.
Youth ages 11-18 can sign up to join SLB Radio in an oral history project in the Hill District, interviewing women who work, live, or grew up in this historic neighborhood. Youth from the Hill District will conduct these interviews after receiving expert training in interviewing, writing, and audio recording in a workshop setting. Youth can earn a stipend of $200 for participating.
SLB is also seeking Adult women who live, work, or were raised in the Hill District to share their oral history this summer. All it takes is an hour of your time. You’ll receive a professionally produced recording and the satisfaction of sharing your insight with the next generation. Adults can sign up here.
