Join us for this interesting session with CMU’s NSF-funded AI Institute for Societal Decision Making (AI-SDM) that will focus on the challenges of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI and the impact it has on our lives and society. Presenter Hoda Heidari from Carnegie Mellon University will introduce attendees to the world of AI during this engaging session.

Hoda Heidari is the K&L Gates Career Development Assistant Professor in Ethics and Computational Technologies at Carnegie Mellon University, with joint appointments in Machine Learning and Societal Computing. Her research is broadly concerned with the social, ethical, and economic implications of Artificial Intelligence, particularly issues of fairness and accountability through the use of Machine Learning in socially consequential domains.
