This special event features Moira Marquis, Senior Manager of the Freewrite Project for PEN America, and Stevie Wilson, an incarcerated writer in Pennsylvania. Moira and Stevie will be talking about the challenges that book bans create for incarcerated people, as well as the movements devoted to fighting censorship behind bars. This event is sponsored by the English department at Carnegie Mellon University and the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, and will take place in the South Wing Reading Room on the 2nd floor of CLP-Main Library.
