Summer Reading 2024: Teen Titles

CLP is pleased to announce this year’s Summer Reading Theme: READ-A-PALOOZA BOOK BOWL! Inspired by the 2024 Olympics, each CLP branch’s community competes in this summer-long program to see who can read the most books! Which neighborhood will be Pittsburgh’s next reading champion? Get in training with the following booklist that features athletes and their adventures both on and off the field (or pool, or track, or court). Take a Father to School Day 2024

Pittsburgh Public Schools will be celebrating Take a Father to School Day on May 17th. This annual event invites students to bring a supportive male figure with them to school for the day. The theme this year is “Thriving Fathers: Enhancing Nutritional, Physical, and Mental Health.” Here are some books that celebrate fathers, uncles, and other positive male role models in children’s lives.
