An animal in the library?? It sounds like the case for an exterminator. But think again – this summer at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, our locations will be hosts to many different animal friends from swimmers to slitherers, brought there by stellar community organizations. Allegheny County Park Rangers presents Meet Mr. McSlithers, Eastern Black Rat Snake
Meet the Park Ranger Educational Animal, an Eastern Black Rat Snake named Mr. McSlithers. Learn about his habitat, diet and everyday life. Get up close to learn about his unique adaptations.

Animal Friends Therapet Visit
Visit with a certified Therapet! These dogs have undergone special training to provide comfort and affection, and are certified through Animal Friends’ Therapets program. All ages are welcome.
