A Simple hoopla Hack You Will Enjoy

I love reading. I love books, the kind with pages, and books, the kind I can download for free and sync across the many mobile devices I have somehow accumulated. And you like this as well, my fellow readers, if Libby and hoopla data are any indication.

As of this writing in February, more than 350,000 items have been checked out from our Libby collection. That’s a huge number! Our hoopla collection has seen more than 52,000 check outs so far this year. Also huge! We get the message. Yinz love reading, too!

I’ve been waiting on a few holds in Libby for what seems like forever. For instance, I’ve been on the wait list for Claire Keegan’s Small Things Like These for a while. There are 149 holds on print copies, and an 18-week wait in Libby. This is probably because the book was recently made into a movie.

Friends, let me share with you a trick I’ve learned: check hoopla, too. Small Things Like These is available for instant check out!

Perhaps you’re searching for the eAudio version of Frederick Joseph’s Patriarchy Blues because you’re excited to attend his author event on March 1st (you can register here, it’s free!) but it’s not in our Libby collection. Sure, you can hit that Notify Me! button to tag it and let us know you’d like us to buy it.

But here again, hop on over to hoopla! We already have it—you can get it instantly!

Let’s say you want to read Ezra Claytan Daniels’ fantastic graphic novel BTTM FDRS, but when you search Libby, nothing comes up at all.

Here comes hoopla to save the day!

And don’t even get me started on the eAudio versions of popular series that you will not have to wait for:

Libby and hoopla are platforms that complement each other to provide you with a robust collection of eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, and more. So don’t forget to check hoopla!
