My 24K Magic World Tour Experience

On Tuesday, August 22nd, pop superstar Bruno Mars came to town. It was the Pittsburgh stop on his 24k Magic World Tour. It was a sold out concert and Mars showed up and showed out. The concert was amazing! Mars did everything but stand on his head. He played guitar while performing “Marry You” and “Runaway Baby” from his debut album, Doo-wops and Hooligans.  This was one of my favorite parts because towards the end of the “Marry You” performance, he played a couple of chords of “Purple Rain” and the lights turned purple. I fangirled accordingly.

Another one of my favorite parts of the night was when Mars performed “Calling All My Lovelies,” which is my favorite track from the 24k Magic album. Midway through the performance Mars sang a few lines from the song “I’d Rather Be With You,” and again I fangirled accordingly. The other great part was when Mars did his encore and performed two of his biggest hits: “Locked Out of Heaven” and “Uptown Funk.” The crowd was practically roaring during this part of the show. The crowd was energetic the whole time, especially when he performed the singles from 24K Magic including “24K Magic,” “That’s What I Like” and “Versace on the Floor.”

Not only is Bruno extremely talented, but so is his band, The Hooligans. They’re just as entertaining as him. What I love about Bruno and the Hooligans is that they’re making great music and having fun while doing so. The relationship isn’t artist and band; it’s more like a big group of friends doing what they love. During the one time that Mars actually took a break, he let his piano player have a solo and the guy was really talented. I was impressed. Mars also gave his band a break while he sang his hit “When I Was Your Man” from his double platinum album, Unorthodox Jukebox. At that point, the arena was one big sing along. It was great.

Overall, it was an amazing show and I would recommend that everyone see Bruno Mars in concert. He’s an amazing live performer and worth every penny. He will give you great vocals, awesome dance moves, and some crazy guitar solos. Mars is one of the few artists who’s talented not only in the studio but onstage. If you missed the concert, we have all of his music available in our catalog.
