Join Allegheny County Law Library in partnership with Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts to learn about the first level of Pennsylvania’s Judicial System known as minor courts. Participants will hear from a Magisterial District Judge and how minor courts resolve disputes involving smaller amounts of money and property, what warrants taking legal action, the expectations inside a court room, and what individuals should do to come prepared in the event they need to appear in “the people’s court.” Registration is not required to watch in-person but is required to participate in the virtual experience.
