To Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Pride means:
- Inclusion
- Intersectionality
- Radical Joy
- Resistance Through Existence
Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh celebrates Pride 2023 with a focus on radical joy and resistance. We are celebrating LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual and more) individuals of all races, genders, classes, sexualities, and identities. Existing as a queer person brings many challenges, especially for people with intersecting identities. In 2023, we want to celebrate joy, love, and solidarity while still recognizing the oppression this community faces.
Pride + Joy = Resistance

Renaissance City Choir’s programming blends challenging contemporary music, commissions of new works, an ambitious traditional repertoire, and music from various world cultures. Join us for a performance of music that celebrates pride month and uplifts the LGBTQIA+ community.
RCC is western Pennsylvania’s only LGBTQIA+ and allies choral group. We strive to promote a positive image of the LGBTQIA+ community and to be a leading contributor to the cultural life of the tri-state area. We seek to build bridges both within the LGBTQIA+ community, the music community, and with the community at large.
In addition to our programming lineup, look for Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh at Pittsburgh Pride 2023! We’ll be tabling with other organizations to show our support for the LGBTQ+ community, marching in the parade, signing visitors up for Summer Reading and hosting other fun activities all weekend long. We hope to see you there!
