Origami Explorations: Fold Your Way To Success!

The traditional Japanese art of origami (from the characters oru – to fold and kami – paper) is a hugely popular activity for people all around the world today. Simple origami models can be a great way to introduce children to geometric concepts, and paper folding is a fun activity for the whole family. While I already knew how to make a jumping frog with my kids, I recently decided to try and improve my paper folding skills. While doing so, I discovered an amazing array of materials in our Library catalog. From traditional patterns like origami boxes and flowers to more modern twists on paper folding, CLP has the tools to help you fold your own works of art!
