One of the titles I heard talked about most during the 2019 Oscars was “Parasite,” a South Korean film directed and written by Bong Joon Ho. Although his name didn’t ring a bell for me, I later discovered that I have seen his work before, in 2013’s “Snowpiercer.”

“Snowpiercer” is a movie that really stuck with me. It portrays a world where a failed climate experiment has killed off every living thing, except those lucky enough to be aboard a train, Snowpiercer, that circles the globe non-stop. People on the Snowpiercer have been divided up into different classes, and those at the rear have it so bad that they decide to fight their way forward and make a change.

If you want to check out “Parasite,” “Snowpiercer” or other films by Bong Joon Ho, here are some titles to get you started.
