Looking Ahead to Summer Jobs for Teens

Schools are closed and the Governor has ordered us to stay at home. So much feels unpredictable and unknowable.

But one thing that I do know and want to share with you, is that Partner4Work is committed to providing job opportunities for young people ages 14-21 this summer and applications are now being accepted for Learn & Earn 2020.

So even though you might not be able to plan for a lot at the moment, you can plan for that!

What is Learn & Earn?

This Summer Youth Employment Program is a community-wide effort to empower young adults in Allegheny County and the City of Pittsburgh to gain the skills and experience necessary to become successful members of our region’s workforce.

Learn & Earn is designed to provide meaningful work experience and career exposure to low-income young adults, ages 14-21, residing in Allegheny County and the City of Pittsburgh. The program seeks to:

  • Create a positive and safe work experience for youth
  • Increase youth exposure to potential careers, occupations, and critical occupational skills
  • Increase youth’s soft skills through work-readiness training tailored to their development stages and learning goals

Program Employment Dates:
The orientation week is June 22, 2020 through June 26, 2020. The work period runs for 6 weeks, June 29, 2020 to August 7, 2020. Participants work 25 hours per week.
