Earlier in the year I wrote about a few other titles in our collection that are about the Grateful Dead. Since then, another book on the band has been added to the collection – this time an oral history by Blair Jackson and David Gans. The title of this book (“This is all a dream we dreamed”) comes from one of Robert Hunter’s lyrics in the song “Box of Rain” and is a fitting look back on a five decade career of music, performances, tours, and recordings. This book draws on experiences of not only members of the band, but of some of the dedicated fans and followers of the group to share what the band meant, and continues to mean to people. If the good old Grateful Dead are your thing, be sure to check out this book!
