Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh’s 2023 Summer Reading season is underway! Already, Pittsburghers have logged thousands of books. You can join in and start logging your books today!
The Summer Reading program is designed to help students retain the academic progress they made during the school year. Reading five books, or as little as 10-15 minutes a day, is believed to be enough to prevent summer learning loss.
To encourage reading and learning throughout the summer, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh (CLP) staff are distributing thousands of high-quality books to children and teens visiting its 19 neighborhood locations. Many of the books include a bookplate highlighting CHASE as a Partner Sponsor of the Summer Reading Program. JP Morgan Chase has shown its commitment to literacy and learning in Pittsburgh through their generous partnership (for two years in a row!) of the Summer Reading Program. We are proud to have their support as Pittsburghers of all ages “Find Their Voice” this summer.
You can also find Summer Reading Tracking Bookmarks in several local CHASE branches – Market Square, Oakland, Squirrel Hill, and North Side. Grab one the next time you stop in to one of those branches, or any CLP location.
Happy Reading!
