Hannah Dobbz is a former squatter. Her new book, Nine-Tenths of the Law, explores how "people remain homeless as homes remain people-less." Her talk will examine the history of squatting and property struggles in the U.S. from colonial times to 20th-century urban squatting and the foreclosure crisis of the late 2000s. In 2007 she produced Shelter, a film about squatters in the San Francisco Bay Area. Book signing to follow.
