Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Board Meets, Amends 2013 Budget
February 26, 2013: During its regular meeting on February 25, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's Board of Trustees approved a budget amendment that adds $900,000 in revenue to the Library's 2013 operating budget as a result of expected increases in revenue from the Library Tax. The amendment also approves a $900,000 plan to expand access to technology, provide additional early learning outreach and open hours.

Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Seeks Nominations for 2013 Community Advocate Award
February 8, 2013: In an effort to recognize outstanding and deserving community members who demonstrate a commitment to further library services, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh is seeking nominations for its 2013 Community Advocate Award which will be announced during the Library's Annual Public Meeting on March 21. Application deadline is March 1, 2013.

February 7, 2013: Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh is celebrating Black History Month with a variety of special events in February that celebrate the innovations and ingenuity of African Americans in the fields of science.

Pucker Up and Party! Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Celebrates National Kazoo Day
January 23, 2013: Children young and old are invited to “Pucker up and party” on Saturday, January 26 (2- 3 pm) at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh’s 7th annual Oakland KazooFest which celebrates National Kazoo Day (January 28) and commemorates Mozart’s birthday (January 27, 1756).

Vive la France! After Hours @ the Library: Late Night Returns
