Lawrence County: New Wilmington and Volant
Located one hour north of Pittsburgh, the Old Order Amish community of approximately 1,500 people lives in farms that surround the quaint villages of New Wilmington and Volant in the northern section of the county.

Smicksburg and Dayton
These two communities in nearby Indiana County (northeast of Pittsburgh) are home to 289 Old Order Amish families. As you drive through the area, you will see some small Amish-owned shops that offer things such as shoe repair, bulk foods, home-baked goods, wood crafts, etc. Remember that they are not open on Sundays.
