Repeat with a different color such as blue, white, black, brown, purple, pink, etc. until all of the children are standing.
Repeat the song but change the text to "please sit down."
Make New Friends
(sung as a round)
Make new friends, but keep the old.
One is silver and the other gold.
Hand Print Frame
Give each child a piece of construction paper. Have them put a handprint in the center of the paper. Then have all of your children make a handprint frame around the child's print. You can put these up on a bulletin board with the heading "Hands in Friendship."
Play different types of music. Let the children dance and move to the way the music makes them feel.
Have children talk about the way they are feeling; happy, sad, angry, loved. Make a chart or graph to find out the results of the class poll.
