Letter Knowledge
Knowing that letters look different from each other and have different names and sounds.
An early learning skill your child needs for school success.
- Write your child’s name and encourage your child to make the letters.
- Use magnetic letters and have your child recognize the difference between a “C” and an “O”, or a “L” and a “J”.
- Read alphabet books and point out the letters and the words that start with those letters.
- Write your child’s favorite words.
(grandma, pap-pap, dinosaur, etc.)
