In Honor of Pete Seeger
Pete Seeger is 90 years old this year (2009) and in celebration, we are featuring a selected list of books, scores, CDs and DVDs available for check-out here in the Music Department to entice you to brush up on his many contributions to American culture in the 20th century and in particular, American folk song. You can also listen to albums by Pete Seeger online from American Song (all you need is a CLP library card).
We have included materials on and by some of his great compatriots also. Following the list, you will find some subject headings to use in the Library's catalog to find more materials on protest songs and other socially driven music traditions.
