What could be easier than boiling a pot of spaghetti and opening up a jar of spaghetti sauce? Well, maybe cooking a box of macaroni and cheese. If you want a little more variety and something a bit more sophisticated, try these cookbooks.

    Test your knowledge of pasta shapes and learn a lot!
  • Barilla US
    The website of this Italian manufacturer of pasta offers a database of recipes that you can search and browse by type of pasta, by season or by region. It also contains a glossary.
  • Epicurious Search: Pasta
    A search on epicurious for "pasta" will return 1421 recipes. You just have to click on the "quick and easy" link on the left sidemenu to sort out the pastas from scratch.
  • Food Network search: Pasta
    Lotsa pasta here (3254 results) but your can sort by "Total Time" or "Difficulty" to narrow it down.
  • National Pasta Organization
    Who would have thought there was a national organization for pasta with the url "ilovepasta.org"? Go to their recipe section, choose the category you want (for instance, vegetarian) and from that page you can click on the clock to get the "quick" recipes.
