Family Programs

Celebrate

Celebrate programs are developed around a theme. They may be offered for the whole family or for specific age groups. Programs may be built around a theme the community is celebrating or around a national holiday. Programs typically last for about 45-60 minutes and offer the opportunity to benefit from a shared library experience by participating in stories, songs and other group activities.

Family Fun

This free library event is designed to engage all members of the family. Programs may vary in location and may include: story times, movies, games and crafts. These programs provide families with the opportunity to benefit from a shared library experience.

Family Study Buddies

The Family Study Buddies program series is an opportunity for children and parents/caregivers to learn to work together to encourage students' school success in kindergarten through fifth grade. Programs will focus on homework help, fun educational activities and creating a home environment good for studying and homework. Families that attend will be given tools, support, resources and treats to make homework time more productive and focused. Monthly programs will be held at select libraries throughout the school year. This program is offered free of charge but space is limited so please register now.

Movies @ the Library

Come to the library and watch a free children's movie. Movies are typically rated G or PG unless stated otherwise. Children are encouraged to bring their favorite family member or friend to share the experience.

Special Events

This event is an opportunity for the whole family to engage in a special activity or program. Programs may vary in location and may include: free quality performances, literacy programs, musicians and meeting children's authors and illustrators.
