While a winter getaway sounds great, most kids aren't the ones in charge of making travel plans. So while the grown-ups debate the merits of various tropical destinations, why not curl up with a good book. You can revisit favorite fictional vacation spots, take a (free!) trip around the world, explore the ocean or jet off to outer space. Enjoy the ride.
