Outside the Lines: Cell Phone Speakers and Bling

Saturday, March 15, 2014 | Other Dates
3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Explore the relationship between art and science with a different hands-on project every month for teens!

In honor of Teen Tech Week and Women's History Month, we're celebrating the innovations made by Hollywood screen legend Hedy Lamar, who invented the signal technology used by cell phones today. Teens are invited to experiment with and create DIY cell phone speakers from paper, cups and other things you can find around your house. We'll also provide some bling for teens who are inspired to dress up their phones.

Participation in this program is limited to teens in middle and high school. Registration is required.
