Let's READ English: To Kill a Mockingbird

Friday, June 14, 2013
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

If English is not your native language and you like to read, join us on the second Friday of every month at 2PM in the Large Print Room. We will read one book each month and then meet to discuss the story, improve our vocabulary and practice our English reading and conversational skills. And have FUN!

June’s book will be To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee — An American classic, this is the story of a young girl who watches her beloved attorney father defend Tom Robinson, an African American wrongly accused of a terrible crime. This is a beautiful story of childhood, friendship, the power of hatred, and the power of love.
