Dance of the Undead for Teens : Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh - Downtown & Business in Partnership with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre

Friday, October 26, 2012
5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Plunge into the otherworldly realm of Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s Giselle with a pre-show event at the Carnegie Public Library. Teens will experiment with the eerie effects of stage makeup, movement and music that push this ballet production beyond the grave. Emerge as a member of the walking undead and join in a procession to the Benedum Center, where you’ll watch the ballet from special tweet seats. Document the undead experience with apps, photos and video along the way, and bring your smartphone to tweet live during the show. A limited number of portable devices also will be available at the event. Refreshments will be provided at the pre-show event.

Permission forms are necessary and can be emailed to you after you reserve your spot or signed the night of the performance. They can also be downloaded and filled out prior to coming, click here for the form.

Join the library for a follow-up video editing session to learn iMovie basics and create your own “Dance of the Undead” video on Saturday, October, 27, from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – Main (Oakland). Snacks will be provided. Click here to register
