This month we will be discussing Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler and illustrated by Maira Kalman.

Min and Ed are so wrong for each other, but that doesn't stop them from diving head first into a deep, blazing first love with each other. The book, however, starts once the love has ended and Min is preparing to leave a box of souvenirs detailing their relationship, and why they broke up, at Ed's front door. The illustrations of the trinkets and memories are one of the reasons this book is just so good. And if you think you've never heard of Daniel Handler, think again - he usually goes by Lemony Snicket!
