Saturday, February 8, 2014
2:30 PM
The novel Twelve Years a Slave follows the personal account of Solomon Northup, a prominent free black man living in upstate New York, who was kidnapped and sold into slavery in 1841.

Separated from his wife and children, Solomon spent twelve long years of suffering, degradation, whippings and hard labor as a slave in Louisiana before he was rescued.
