Getting Started in African American Genealogy Research

If you’re trying to trace your African roots and are running into brick walls with do-it yourself genealogical research or just don’t know where to begin, this session is for you!

Marilyn Holt of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Department will discuss various methods and library resources that can aid those searching, with limited information, for ancestors who were enslaved or emancipated.
