Millions of people visit Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh locations each
year, ranking the Library higher in attendance than Pirate or Steeler
games, the zoo, the aviary or the museums. And according to a 2006
economic impact study (PDF), the Carnegie Library system averages
6,142 daily visits and generates more than 132 million in economic return
to the community each year. But to continue to support the communities
in which we operate, we need your help. Please choose from a donation

Receive a Business Tax Credit
Perceptive businesses understand that a healthy library system brings them many benefits. It's not just the wealth of business information we offer: CLP also helps make our communities stronger and more attractive to potential employees-and our promotion of literacy, computer usage, and internet access are important factors in workforce development.
Business contributions to the Library help preserve and extend these benefits. There's also a compelling financial incentive to support the Library. Pennsylvania's Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program gives businesses that contribute to CLP up to a 90% tax credit on state income taxes. That's an excellent return on investment!
