Tuesday, July 9, 2013
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Join us each month to discuss two related - but very different - titles, one at the Library and one at a local bar, coffee shop or restaurant. In July, we'll be discussion religious memoirs.

Tuesday, July 9th
CLP - Lawrenceville, 279 Fisk St.
Jesus Land by Julia Scheeres
From rural Indiana to a religious reform school in the Dominican Republic, Julia Scheeres’ memoir is a riveting look at faith, family and brutality in the 1980s.

Tuesday, July 23rd
Franktuary, 3810 Butler St.
The Unlikely Disciple by Kevin Roose
No drinking. No smoking. No cursing. No dancing. No R-rated movies. Kevin Roose wasn't used to rules like these. But when Roose leaves his Ivy League confines to spend a semester at Liberty University, a conservative Baptist school in Lynchburg, Virginia, obedience is no longer optional.

On July 23rd, come for the book discussion, stay for trivia! Trivia @ Franktuary begins at 8pm.
